The inhabitants of 52 Whitbread Road, London were pleased to present Bread and Jam II, the second in a unique series of exhibitions created and exhibited in a gutted and soon to be re furbished house in a typical Victorian terraced street in Brockley.
Artists included were: Hermione Allsopp, Roshi Cowen, William Darrell, Nicola Durvasula, Justin Fitzpatrick, Jost Münster, Jason Oddy, Sarah Pager, Troika, Poppy Whatmore & WhatmorePager.
Exhibited was Troika’s ‘Testing Time’ piece located in a cupboard, made specifically for the site as well as an interactive installation by the collaborators, WhatmorePager’. Also included will be finely drawn graphic notations, new work by Nicola Durvasula which was performed live at the private view, accompanied by the music saw.
Bread and Jam brings together exciting artists, from shed & cupboard to the bathroom mirror of visual alchemy, in a rare opportunity to experiment and play in an unusual setting without constraints.
