Catherine Payton (b.1986) graduated from Edinburgh College of Art, Drawing and Painting BA (Hons) in 2009. She was selected as part of the Collective Gallery’s New Work Scotland Programme in 2010. Recent group exhibitions include Pears,Cairn Gallery, Pittenweem, 2014, Waiting for the main event, Supercollider, Blackpool, 2013, 13 Levitations, Generator Projects, Dundee (part of the Three-Fold Programme), 2012, We Are All U.F.O.-nauts, Rhubaba Gallery and Studios, Edinburgh, 2012, and Wonders of the Invisible World, Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art, Sunderland, 2011. She was Tourist-in-Residence for EAF 2013 in collaboration with Tom Nolan. Ongoing projects include writing talks and essays as part of the Edinburgh Psycho-Geography Association and a visual blog at catherinepayton.info/blog.
